Book Selection During the School Year
While the school librarian can offer selection guidance to the students,
she will not prevent a student from checking out a particular book due to their age or reading level. This follows the ALA's Access to Resources and Services in the School Library
which states that school librarians should avoid "imposing age, grade-level, or reading level restrictions on the use of resources."

Lost/Damaged Book Policy
In an effort to maintain our school library's collection, we ask that families pay the replacement cost for any lost or damaged library books. After sending in the replacement cost, the librarian will purchase a new copy or comparable book for the school library.
It is important to note that the library cannot accept just any used children's book to replace the lost item. The library books have been selected to support the school curriculum and the current needs of the school library. They are also often purchased with hardcovers or special library bindings to make them last longer. You can always contact the librarian if you have any questions. Thank you!
